biography

Laugh Clown Laugh were a synth duo from the UK, recording and playing music between 1982-1984. Feel so young was their first studio recording and featured on a vinyl compilation called Abstract in 1984.

This, with a selection of other songs, is being made available for the first time as a complete album on vinyl and digital download by Medical Records LLC scheduled for release September 2013.

Feel so young (and dub version) recorded at Rendezvous Studios, Sydenham, South London, September 1st 1983.

Other songs recorded live in the living room, (next to the telly).

All tracks on the new album have been re-mixed and mastered by Sound Engineer Will Angeloro 2013.

SCI Pro One mono synth,

Korg MS20 mono synth,

Roland TR606 drum machine,

(LinnDrum on Feel so young and Fsy dub),

Teac-32 2b 2 track Reel to Reel tape recorder.

Teac-2a mixer.

"The album opens with the fitting “Feel So Young” which sets the tone and engages the listener to know they are in for a wonderful synthpop journey. The simplicity and focus on the lead synth tracks and percussion is what sets this collection apart. The tracks “Face To Face” and “Kiss In The Rain” are absolute minimal synth pop masterpieces. All tracks have an amazing dance floor sensibility but could also be well suited to a quiet day at home immersed in synth warblings. This LP will certainly appeal to fans of earliest Human League, Oppenheimer Analysis, and earliest Vince Clarke era Depeche Mode (but even more sparse). Presented on 180gram transparent orange high-quality vinyl in a limited edition. Bonus insert included as well with liner notes by Kurt B. Reighley and other tidbits."
